Background: CHRM3
Muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M3 (CHRM3) is a 65 kDa 7-transmembrane glycoprotein that is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, smooth muscle, and heart. CHRM3 mediates signal transduction in the autonomic nervous system in response to muscarinic agonists. Human CHRM3 shares 92% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat CHRM3.
Long Name:
Cholinergic Receptor Muscarinic 3
Entrez Gene IDs:
1131 (Human); 12671 (Mouse); 24260 (Rat)
Alternate Names:
cholinergic receptor, muscarinic 3; CHRM3; HM3; m3 muscarinic receptor; mAChR M3; muscarinic acetylcholine receptor M3
