Species Reactivity
Human
Specificity
Detects human EDA‑A2/Ectodysplasin A2 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In Western blots, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) APRIL, rhBAFF, rhLIGHT, rhOX40 Ligand, and rhTRAIL is observed and less than 2% cross‑reactivity with recombinant mouse EDA, rhTNF-alpha, rhVEGI, rhGITR Ligand, and rhFasLigand is observed.

Blockade of Receptor-ligand Interaction
In a functional ELISA, 0.3-1.2 µg/mL of this antibody will block 50% of the binding of 5 ng/mL of Recombinant Human EDA-A2 (Catalog # ) to immobilized Recombinant Human XEDAR Fc Chimera (Catalog # ) coated at 1 µg/mL (100 µL/well). At 10 μg/mL, this antibody will block >90% of the binding.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. are available in the Technical Information section on our website.

Background: EDA-A2/Ectodysplasin A2
EDA-A2, a product of the EDA gene (also known as Tabby), is a type II transmembrane protein that is a member of the TNF superfamily. Human EDA-A2 is a 389 amino acid (aa) protein with a predicted N-terminal 39 aa cytoplasmic domain, a 22 aa transmembrane domain and a C-terminal 328 aa extracellular domain.
