• Neutralization

  Measured by its ability to neutralize MCV‑type II Chemokine‑like Protein inhibition of CCL1/I‑309-dependent chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro‑B cell line transfected with human CCR8. The Neutralization Dose (ND    ₅₀) is typically 5-20 µg/mL in the presence of 0.2 µg/mL Recombinant Viral MCV‑type II Chemokine‑like Protein and 20 #ng/mL Recombinant Human CCL1/I‑309.

Preparation and Storage

• Reconstitution

  Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

• Shipping

  The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below. *Small pack size (SP) is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at -20 to -70 °C

Background: MCV-type II Chemokine-like Protein

Molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV) is a human cutaneous poxvirus that has been shown to encode homologs of cellular immunomodulatory proteins. MC148R2 is a CC chemokine-like protein encoded by an MCV type II gene. MC148R2 is a 104 amino acid (aa) protein containing a 24 aa signal peptide that is cleaved to produce an 80 aa mature protein.
