  Detects rat CXCL3/CINC-2 alpha / beta in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs, greater than 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat (rr) CINC-1, rrCINC-2 beta, and rrCINC-3 is observed, less than 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) KC, rmMIP-2, recombinant human (rh) GRO alpha, rhGRO beta, and rhGRO gamma is observed, and less than 10% cross-reactivity with rhIL-8 is observed.

• Neutralization

  Measured by its ability to neutralize CXCL3/GRO gamma /CINC‑2/DCIP‑1-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro‑B cell line transfected with human CXCR2. The Neutralization Dose (ND    ₅₀) is typically 0.5-2.0 µg/mL in the presence of 0.05 µg/mL Recombinant Rat CXCL3/GRO gamma /CINC‑2/DCIP‑1.

Background: CXCL3/GRO gamma/CINC-2/DCIP-1

CXCL3/GRO gamma, also known as DCIP-1 in mouse and CINC-2 in rat, is a member of the CXC chemokine family. Human CXCL3/GRO gamma is 107 amino acids (aa) in length, which includes a proposed signal peptide (aa 1–34), with a predicted molecular weight of 11 kDa. The mouse and rat orthologs share 65% and 59% aa sequence identity with the human protein, respectively. Genome-wide analysis suggests that the protein encoded by the mouse Cxcl1 gene is homologous to human CXCL3/GRO gamma protein. CXCL3/GRO gamma is chemotactic for granulocytes, including neturophils.
