Binding Activity | Recombinant Human PSG-6 (Catalog # 9318-P6) induces adhesion of ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.9-4.5 μg/mL. |
C-terminal tail (2, 3). The N-terminal Ig-like domain contains an Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) sequence which is a consensus integrin-binding motif found in many adhesion proteins (4, 5). Alternative splicing generates an additional isoform with a substitution in the C-terminal tail. PSG-6 is predominantly expressed in placenta and more weakly in granulocytes (3). It induces monocyte production of the cytokines IL-6, IL-10, and TGF-beta 1 (6).
